About the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) Requirements

Local Dubai legislation applied to all events in Dubai including the RIPE Meeting require additional information regarding attendees:

Personal information

All attendees are required to supply the following details via the meeting registration form:

  • Full name
  • Country of residence
  • Date of birth
  • Nationality
  • Mobile phone number
  • Email address

This information will be passed on to the DTCM, who will use it to create barcodes to be displayed on attendee meeting badges. As an attendee, you need to wear your badge at all times throughout the meeting, including the social events.

Speakers’ details

In accordance with requirements from the DTCM, all those who appear on the event agenda as speakers will be asked to upload, via a secure webform provided by the RIPE NCC, the following details:

  • Passport number
  • Date of birth
  • A short biography (at least 60 words)
  • If resident of UAE, an uploaded copy of their Emirates ID (in jpeg format)

The RIPE NCC will pass this data on to the DTCM. The data will be permanently deleted from the RIPE NCC infrastructure one week after the RIPE 75 Meeting.
